As beautiful as Dubrovnik is, I must add that it is highly commercialized and touristy. There are other cities and town on Croatian coast that can definitely compare (and beat?) Dubrovnik… have you been to Makarska or Zadar? How about Rovinj? I would definitely put those places on my list, as they are really stunning and it doesn’t feel to fake… and crowds are not like in Disneyland.
