Noah: I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who’s ever lived: I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.
This film was a brilliant adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks Novel with the same title. For those who already knew this author it was no surprise it had all to be successful; and I’m sure that after watching this very well orchestrated story those who didn’t know this novelist got curious about him.

Love this Film… Own it, I’ve watched it a 100 times… It’s her Best Role ever in My Opinion… She was Brilliant
DarkJade-
To me, it’s also her best role ever 😉 Totally agree!
I love this film..so beautiful.
Yes, it is a very good film! And in my opinion the best adaptation from Nicholas Sparks books so far =)
I would agree with you there. I’m looking forward to watching The Lucky One. It definitely stuck to the essence of the book. It felt less Hollywood like.
I’ve watched The Lucky One.. Actually it was what inspired me to re-watch and write about The Notebook. It’s a pretty good film in my opinion but Efron wasn’t nearly as good as Gosling.. Anyway, maybe it’s just me who think that so I hope you have a good time when you watch it 😉
oh this is one of my favourite films! it’s truly stunning and beautiful – thank you for reminding me…
I really enjoy it too 😉
I’ll watch the movie just for the sake of watching another love story, which in my case rarely happens, but I do have a question for you; what’s it with people and love, and making statements like the one this character makes??? I mean, it’s just as an abstract notion to me as what’s on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy. What’s it about love, which people seem to trumpet the joys of? To me is a fleeting feeling, just like a fleeting moment, sometimes is there, and sometimes you realize it never was.ss it was more of a rhetorical question than anything else…
We all human beings have life goals which can be fame, wealth, travelling, and so on.. I guess for some people love is by itself their life goal. That’s the beauty of Humanity’s plurality! Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the movie as it is very well contextualized in time and the acting is good =)
Why would someone subject themselves to a goal like that, love I mean? From what I’ve seen in my short but quite colorful life is that love is never a mean to an end, but more an end to means. I’ve met countless couples and all I’ve seen is blindness in the face of love, almost total annihilation of oneself (as an individual), and codependency. Love, in it’s pure sense of the word and feeling (if it truly does exist) has got to be something more to than that, though I might never figure it out. As I said before it’s as an abstract notion as many other things we’re still exploring and learning.
