St. Pancreas Station, London, UK
Some time ago I found the video bellow at Designiscool and thought it was worth sharing. It’s a piece of government propaganda that is actually very well structured and catchy. While visiting Europe, there’s no better way to travel than by train (if you’ve got enough time, of course). Choosing the train will make it possible for you to acknowledge the different landscapes and the way vegetation evolves as soon as you enter a new country.

Agree – trains (or buses) all the way! – wherever possible. You get to sit back, enjoy the views, enjoy your travelling companions and do some people watching too. Bonus!
What a lovely post. does full justice to the British rail…no other better way to see the english country side
what a lovely post. I have been staying in Britain since the past 5 years, travelling a lot more in trains than the average man. and even while I admit, that its expensive, it is very grand…one of the best ways to see the English country side. This video does full justice to it!
I agree with you that when in Europe, train travel is a must. One of the many things I love about Europe is the convenience of the Tube and the railway system. When visiting the States, efficient public transportation is lacking so you are quite trapped in most cities (except NYC) and need to rent a car. Amtrak is okay, but not as convenient as travel via Eurorail or other railways in Europe.
I visited London last year and was disappointed that the trains were like American trains now. The last time I went, 1993, the trains were still like the ones in the Beatles movies. I loved those. I realize though, that times change.
I enjoy riding the Amtrak here in the US. Thanks Ana for sharing the video.
Did you get your picture taken at the Harry Potter track?
Not really, I got it taken when arriving in London from Paris by Eurostar =)
What a neat place! can you direct me to station 3 and 1/4? 😉
Don’t get mixed up that Harry Potter left from King’s Cross! They are however next to each other so its not too hard to see both of them.
Ah gotcha lol! 😀
Exactly, it’s not the same Station
Or you can also travel in Europe by car, like we do
I travelled on one of those mail trains back in about 2001, Sadly it was to capture one of the final London to Newcastle journeys for the National Railway Museum before Royal Mail moved all the mails onto road and planes.
Fascinating to watch those guys at work.
Thank you I remember when this ad was on television!
