… I could go to New York City!
Even though I’ve never even left Europe, I’ve always wanted to go to NYC. It’s definitely N.º1 in my list! You’ll probably think it’s a Cliché and maybe you’re right but I still want to visit this phenomenal city.
The vast and majestic Central Park, the monumental Public Library, the world’s first steel suspension bridge – Brooklyn Bridge –, the symbol of kinship and freedom – The Statue of Liberty – and the creative MoMA are (for now…) my Top 5 attractions.
However, Bryant Park, High Line, Grand Central Station, Brooklyn Botanic Garden and so many others would be equally appreciated!
What about you? Ever you ever been to New York? Do you want to share it with me?
.
… Ir a Nova Iorque!
Contudo, Bryant Park, High Line, Grand Central Station, Brooklyn Botanic Garden e tantos outros seriam igualmente apreciados.
E vocês? Alguma vez visitaram Nova Iorque? Querem partilhar a experiência?

New York City is definitely an adventure & so much to take in. But if you’re ever that close, you should spend some time in Boston. Beacon Hill, Fanuiel Hall Marketplace, the waterfront, Newbury St…. also museums, theater & “local character”.
NYC is on my wishlist too! One day.

I live in Brooklyn so check out my blog to add Williamsburg to your list of places to see 😉 I also just posted about the High Line as they opened the 2nd phase. maybe you can visit when it is complete (final phase is being discussed now!) You’ll love NYC!
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I’ve just checked your post and Williamsburg is definitely going to my list! It’s awesome!
You can walk across the Williamsburg Bridge from the Lower East Side, and right into Williamsburg. You will even be able to take some great shots of Manhattan from that perspective. You’ll love Williamsburg – it’s a nice break!
Nice! Thanks 😉

This is really fascinating, You’re a very professional blogger. I’ve joined your rss feed and stay up for in search of extra of your great post. Additionally, I have shared your website in my social networks
NY is fantastic, an amazing sprawl of a city, all aspects of culture, however, San Fransisco, Chicago, Boston…. awesome.
I live and work in London so every time I go away I try to steer clear of going through other major cities, but with NY you just have to go there to feel it!
A
we enjoyed NYC very much …

Amazing! Thank you very much for sharing 😉
Would love to perpetually get updated great site!
I live in Wyoming, can’t afford a trip to New York, not with a hotel anyway. Has anyone ever done a “house trade” for vacation time that you know of? I have thought about that several times during the last few years. I live about 100 miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, but wasn’t sure if that would be too far for most. It is an idea that has intrigued me for quite a while!
I’ve never tried that and I don’t think I know anyone who did but I’ve read about it and usually people are very happy with the results 😉 http://www.homeexchange.com/ offers lots of opportunities. Give it a try and then if you’re successful on your “house trade” share your experience 😉
So people really do that? That’s really awesome. I watched “The Holiday” where they house swapped over the holiday. It’s a great way visit somewhere new and not have to do the “hotel” thing provided the swappers are honest good-natured people.
Yes apparently lots of people try this kind of home exchange
I haven’t been there, but I would definitely love to go there! I’d love to go to states for maybe a month, rent a car and drive around 😀 That would be cool, one day!!!! 😀
Same here! 😉
New York City is great. I worked there for a while and was lucky enough to be in Lower Manhattan during the day. While other people recommend the tourist landmarks, I’d say to make sure you see the ethnic communities. While you can see the same in Europe, I think it’s important to see the Chinatowns, Koreatowns, and Little Italys of American cities since they’re such “melting pots” of culture. They’re usually my favorite parts of cities over any landmarks, though the landmarks are good to see, too.
Thanks for sharing those tips 😉
You’re very lucky to live in Europe AnaLucia, with so much to explore there. When you get to NY, I recommend your first stop be to the 30 Rockefeller Center observation deck. From there, you can see the entire city, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and the new Freedom Tower. Go a little before dark so you can see things in the daylight and then see how beautiful the city looks lit up at night, too. You can make a reservation for the date and time on their web site, so you don’t have to wait on a long line.
The other thing to do is venture downtown for the better restaurants and away from the tourist traps. I hope you get to fulfill your dream!
Thank very much for the tips 😉
I’d have to check with you here. Which is not something I usually do! I enjoy reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
Hi Ana Lucia. I was born in New York State and worked and studied in New York City for many years before I moved to Oslo Norway. I have another blog that I write, called ‘A New Yorker in Oslo’ http://paulamdeangelis.blogspot.com/, if you want to check it out. New York State and City are in my blood and always will be. I love to travel, but whenever I am back in the city especially, I get such renewed energy from being there. There is so much that goes on there all the time, but mostly, it is a city of movement, energy and creativity. I know you will experience that when you travel there. I have never been to Portugal, so I look forward to traveling there sometime soon. Take care.
´Thanks for visiting and for sharing your opinion 😉 Really liked your blog as well !
Amazing city, amazing timelapse…

I have only had one very short visit to NYC and I did not get to see all of the things I wanted to. I keep trying to plan a trip there…hopefully soon. And I hope you get there one day too.
I haven’t been to NY but I want to go there!! I just came back from LA and SF and loved it! 🙂
My friend Maciej from Poland recently visited NYC for the first time & I was the only person he knew in America. I tried to show him everything but it is just way too big. He made this video during his stay …. I think it is wonderful so I thought I would share it with you.
I have been living here for 24 years.
Awesome video! Thanks a lot for sharing it 😉

Greetings from NL!

Right now I am busy visiting Europe… hehehehe, because it’s where I found my True Love 🙂
I strongly advice that you deserve to visit New York one day. Do it girl! 🙂
😉
I’ve seen it from the Statue of Liberty, I’d like to get closer! 🙂 On my list too!
Ana
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope that you will visit NYC someday. It is indeed wonderful to have lived here for so many years. If you are a native New Yorker, you have a tendency to take all the things that are here and that happen here, for granted. I have only recently begun to realize this. I have only been to the Statue of Liberty once. But I have photographed it many times.
Thanks for visiting my blog too 😉 I really like yours!
Have you done the video project yourself?! I think I’ve found a blog that’s gonna be one of my favourites!
Well, when I read your post once again I understand that you were “just” linking to that video. Anyway, excellent blog. One of your new followers!
Yes, I was just linking the video. Thanks for visiting and I’m glad you liked it 😉
