Montréal is indeed the only bilingual city in the American Continent as the ‘Main’ (Blvd St-Laurent) constitutes the dividing line between the east-end Francophones and the west-side Anglos.  Nowadays, thanks to the constant waves of immigration, it’s very common for Montréalers to speak not one, or two, but three languages in their daily life.

Hoje em dia, graças ás constantes ondas de imigração, é muito comum os habitantes desta cidade falarem nao uma, nem duas, mas três línguas distintas no seu quotidiano.
