.
Mariza, the "fado singer", that enchants the world, by sharing with everyone who wishes to embrace the culture and tradition typical of the Portuguese Fado.
Stages such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Salle Pleyel in Paris, the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall are no longer new to her. Compliments like the one the British newspaper The Guardian gave her when considered Mariza "a diva of world music ‘ are unanimous.
A distinctive voice that is worth listening to!
first time hearing this wonderful sing she is now on my list of artists to explore more.
I like Mariza but I prefer Ana Moura instead. Look here for my photo shoot with Ana Moura! http://expatinlisbon.com/2012/09/24/ana-moura-photoshoot-at-pensao-amor/
We were lucky enough to see Mariza at a small concert in Lagos in the Western, Algarve. Her singing was magical and language not a barrier to interpret the raw passion in her voice. The music made me cry. I would certainly go and see her again but not at one of the large concert halls – fado to me is more intimate.
