… to visit Machu Picchu
Spectacularly located, Machu Picchu is the best-known archaeological site in the American Continent. This awe-inspiring ancient city was never revealed to the conquering Spaniards and was virtually forgotten until the early part of the 20th century. Considered as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World it is definitely a must-see place.

Spectacular. Was the second photo edited in any way? It is beautifully crisp and bright.
Spiritual, and Humbling… Some places are bigger than us all… I think that might be one of them.
DJ-
Totally agree!
Sign me up. My wife Peggy has been there, and for all of her wandering the world, it was the experience she speaks of with the most awe.

Nice! Now, I want to go there…
Wow, your photos are absolutely gorgeous and vivid. I can’t wait until I make it down there!
I also’d like to go there.
A former coworker, now a pensioneer, was there 3 or 4 years ago. It’s very expensive to go there. I guess he told about an entrance fee of 500 USD for each visitor. Traveling with the public busses is an hygenical desaster ( a plastic bag is your personal toilet, empty it through an open window while the bus goes on). And you have to walk uphill along with a guide to the city. No road, only a path. And they have a limitation, how many visitors are alowed per year. Not mention, they have a long waiting list. My coworker waited for 2 years.
