Beer gardens are an open-air areas where you can buy beer, other drinks and local food. The great thing about this is that you can also bring your own food and drinks and sit at a table for free. It’s actually pretty cool to see people from diverse social classes sharing the same place and somehow interacting. That’s the power of beer!

O melhor deles é que podemos levar a nossa comida e bebidas de casa e sentarmo-nos numa mesa de graça. É na verdade muito interessante ver pessoas dos vários quadrantes sociais a partilharem o mesmo espaço e a interagirem de alguma forma. É o poder da cerveja!

jus came upon this blog, I live in Munich myself. Very beautiful pictures. Munich is a very nice city to live in during summertime, but it’s a bit to cold in the Winter.
And yes the serve good beer and food….;-)

Have been to Germany and have loved it – every time.
although I hasten to add, never been to a beer garden.

love this post… love Munich.. and love that beer garden – especially in summer. But my biggest guilty pleasure in is eating the swine haxen, with sourkraut and knödel. yum!

Beer gardens: very civilised. A pity so many people in the world are living in far less safe and comfortable surroundings.
